Article on Elizabeth I
Posted by admin under Non-Fiction | Permalink | | Leave A Comment |
First time novelist Kimberly Eve has written a nice article on Elizabeth I on her blog titled “The Legacy of Elizabeth I.” I really like the way Kimberly Eve discusses Elizabeth from childhood to death, often focusing on her relationship/memory of her mother, Anne Boleyn, which affected her life greatly (who would want to marry after growing up with Henry VIII?). This is a topic I am really interested in, and I really enjoyed the article. It is really worth checking out!

Hello Elizabeth and The Tudor Book Blog,
I’m so happy that you enjoyed reading my article and have decided to share it with your readers. This article on a wonderfully intriguing woman was a labor of love written for entry in a competition.
Just wanted to say hi and thanks again!

It’s great that you’ve featured Kimberley’s article on your site - she’s a talented writer and her novel on Anne Boleyn looks brilliant, can’t wait til she publishes it.
Kimberley wrote this article for a competition we held and we had some great entries - people’s passion and talent constantly amazes me!

Welcome, Kimberly to the Tudor Book Blog
I really enjoyed the article, and I’m sure everyone else here will also. I am interested in the Anne Boleyn novel you mentioned Claire. I missed it on the site earlier, so I will go back and look again. Anne Boleyn is my favorite “Tudor” so it is something that I’m sure to enjoy! Thanks for the comments from both of you!

Hello Elizabeth,
Thanks Claire for your lovely words. Yes, I’m in the middle of writing a time slip novel that is Tudor themed with paranormal elements. The first two chapters can be found on my blog site http://kimberlyeve.blogspot.com as well as on Claire’s The Anne Boleyn Files http://theanneboleynfiles.com.
I also entered Claire’s Anne Boleyn competition back in May commemorating Anne Boleyn’s beheading and death. I wrote an article on Anne Boleyn as well which can be found on my blog site and Claire’s as well. I think you might enjoy reading it Elizabeth, at least I hope so!

Yes! I went back to your site and found it! I love time slip-type novels. I read the first chapter and really enjoyed it! I am going to read the second as soon as I finish an assignment I have been procrastinating on…:( I also added your site to my “Links” list. Thanks so much for posting the links to your works!

Thank you so much Elizabeth. It means so much to me that you enjoy my writing. I love time slip novels as well. Chapter 2 has more suspense and intrigue but I won’t give anything away. I can tell you that I rewrote chapter 1 changing the direction using more paranormal elements. Not sure when I’ll post it though! Thank you for taking the time to find it and read my work, I really appreciate it. Thanks for adding my site as well!
Take Care,
Kimberly Eve

No problem! I can’t wait to read the new version! I have been working on my own fiction as well, a novel about the early reign of Henry VIII. I am also doing a lot of research for a novel set during the Wars of the Roses. I hope to post some of my own work soon!
Take Care,
Elizabeth
